Makes: 6 Servings
Ingredients:
- 6 tablespoons flour
- ⅓ cup sugar
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 (16-ounce) can sliced beets
- 1 ½ cups beet liquid (beet liquid from can plus water to equal 1 ½ cups)
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 ½ tablespoons butter
Directions:
- 1. Mix flour, sugar and salt in a medium saucepan.
- 2. Stir in beet liquid, vinegar and butter.
- 3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened; add beets and heat.
- 4. Let stand for 10 minutes to blend flavors.
