Go Girls Go Promotes Female Health

18 Girls from Lara Kendal Elementary School, Lake County Middle and Margaret Newton Elementary were able to participate in the Transitions Butterfly Color Run on March 12, 2016 in Dyersburg. The girls are all part of the G3 Club that meets once a week after school in the S.W.A.G. program.

G3 (Go Girl Go) is a program that focuses on teaching girls about a variety of relevant issues and health risks through personal experiences of female champion athletes.

Lake County Health Depart. employees, Beverly Cantrell, Brenda Joyner, Lauren Craddock, Robyn Burns and Valerie Makin, partnered with UT Extensions’ Karen Bernard, Lake County Schools’ Charlotte Lee Vaughn and Debbie Dial, and Dyer County Health Dept. Ann Matthews, Amanda Lee, Amanda Leedy, Cathy Poteet, Mary Johnson and Candice Prince to cheer on the girls during the race.
